Crew and Equipment

We are able to maintain our low studio rates because we do not carry a team of permanent support staff as an overhead. Rather, we rely on a pool of regular freelances who can be booked on your behalf, as appropriate. Please bear this in mind when costing out your job.

Giltbrook Studios can suggest local service providers and freelance television professionals to form part of a crew, however production companies must contract directly with these individuals for their services. Inclusion of an individual in a list does not indicate a recommendation of that person's suitability for any particular role.

Any production company hiring the studio and associated facilities is to take responsibility for the safety and security of all production personnel and 'talent' in their employ.

If models, actors, audience or other 'non-crew' are present, please budget for them to be chaperoned when not required on set.

Hire rates of equipment and facilities from companies within the Giltbrook Studios complex are competitive and in most cases will be insured for your use. Please ask for a quote. Contracts will be directly with the supplying company, not with Giltbrook Studios.

Please check your equipment is insured. Giltbrook Studios are not responsible for the safety and security of equipment owned by production companies and their crew members or hired in to them from external suppliers.

When an OB unit occupies the covered vehicle bay please budget for a full time security guard to be employed for the duration of your shoot.
